European Leaders Condemn US Action as ‘Coercion’
European leaders such as Emmanuel Macron accused Washington of “bullying and threats”, following the travel bans were placed on figures that were central to campaigns to enact laws regulating American tech companies.
“For far too long, European activists have led organised efforts to pressure American platforms to suppress US perspectives they oppose,” stated a senior US official in a social media post. “This government will no longer tolerate such actions of extraterritorial censorship.”
