A representative described the weather overnight as "horrendous", with precipitation so severe that as much as 15cm (6in) of water accumulated on the ground.
"The recent weather was truly terrible for the residents. The heavy rains were so intense... And the winds were so forceful," noted the representative.

- More than 40 official shelters severely flooded.
- Countless residents compelled to find new shelter.
Aid Operations Seen as Inadequate
Groups have increased shipments of tents, blankets and clothes following the ceasefire began, but they stress there is remains not enough aid reaching those in need.
"Officials are striving constantly to deliver that assistance and to hand it out, but the scale of the needs is so enormous that we still have thousands of people and children who are genuinely enduring hardship each evening," warned one representative.
Long-Term Concerns and Ceasefire Terms
The second phase of the ceasefire involves proposals for the reconstruction of Gaza, along with political arrangements, the pullback of military forces, and other provisions.
Aid bodies have highlighted the necessity for "greater and continuous humanitarian assistance to meet pressing and long-term needs."
The hostilities was triggered by an assault in late 2023. Following actions have caused a substantial number of lives lost in the territory, according to medical reports.
