The head of state conducted a visit to speak to national troops in the Pokrovsk area on Tuesday. Zelenskyy announced that he consulted soldiers at the command post of the first unit of the state defense force Azov, which is managing protective maneuvers in the Dobropillya area, a town approximately 12 miles from Pokrovsk.

Intense Conditions in Pokrovsk

Recent mapping from a local initiative revealed that opposition armies had pushed further into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though much of it was not fully held by any party. The conditions are severe, with reports indicating that invading units were fortifying positions and enhancing fortifications in various sectors.

Invading troops are making progress in the Pokrovsk direction and seem to be functioning with increasing comfort within the city proper.

Research institutes commented that defense units had freed a large area of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya direction, on the eastern flank of the Pokrovsk operation.

Ukrainian Drone Strikes Deep Inside Russia

National unmanned aircraft struck a factory approximately over 800 miles inside Russia at the city. City administration confirmed a blast at the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant that led to the partial collapse to be compromised, adding that the reason for the blast was undetermined. The armed forces leadership stated there was considerable damage to the complex.

Ukraine's military reported hitting a petroleum facility at the city in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region in central Russia. The extent of the damage was currently analyzed. The Russian regional governor verified an assault by 20 drones near the area.

Kremlin Military Strategic Shifts

Russian military reservists will now have to guard oil refineries against Ukrainian drone strikes after Vladimir Putin signed a law on the start of the week expanding their participation in the war effort. The national leader also approved legislation permitting draft enrollment all year round whereas before it happened only during restricted intervals in cooler seasons. The federation restricts draftees from being assigned to fighting, but after their military service they become part of the backup units, exposing them to potential of being sent to war.

Germany plans to increase defense support to Ukraine by a substantial amount next year to about 11.5 billion euros, the treasury department in Berlin said on Tuesday. This includes, among other things, cannons, unmanned aircraft, military transports and the replacement of two Patriot systems.

Nordic ammunition manufacturer the company has signed a letter of intent with a Ukrainian industrial partner to make, design and market arms in the nation.

Italy called in the Russian diplomat on the start of the week to challenge what it said were vulgar, troubling and unreasonable remarks by federation official who associated the tragic event of a tower in Rome to Italy's military support for the eastern European nation. The nation's top diplomat stated that Italy will not alter its diplomatic approach or its values in reaction to reckless verbal attacks. The Moscow's representation later posted condolences for the death of a construction employee in the collapse but seized the moment to protest that the negative feedback to the comments was biased against Russia.
